Hello, I’m Dr. Paymon Dorri, DDS.

It is with deep gratitude and great respect that I have assumed ownership of Dorri Dental in May 2025, carrying forward the incredible legacy established by Dr. Robin P. Steely, DDS. For over 42 years, Dr. Steely led this practice with integrity, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to patient-centered care. It is an honor to continue this tradition and serve our wonderful community here in Battle Creek.

As I step into this role, I do so with a heart full of appreciation—for the trust our patients place in us, for the team that shares my values, and for the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives through dentistry. The philosophy that guided Dr. Steely resonates deeply with me: partnering with patients on a journey toward Oral Fitness for Life™. Together, through co-discovery, co-design, and co-creation, we can transform not only smiles but the overall quality of life for those we serve.

My Dental Philosophy

Dentistry, to me, is about far more than treating teeth. It is a commitment to service—an opportunity to care for the whole person through compassionate, biologically responsible care. I believe that oral health is inseparably connected to systemic health and that fostering this connection helps patients achieve optimal well-being, comfort, and confidence.

My goal is to guide each patient on a personalized path to oral fitness, empowering them with knowledge and support along the way. Professional Background & Memberships

I graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2015 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. In continuation to serve my patients with the highest level of care in their dental and overall health, I continue to improve upon and acquire new skills and training in many fields, including holistic and biological dentistry, treatment of TMJ disorders, orthodontics, esthetic dentistry, and general dentistry. I have also gained valuable training and experience in implant dentistry.

I have been honored to receive recognition for this dedication through my election to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, the Francis B. Vedder Society for the Advancement of Crown and Bridge Prosthodontics, and my membership in the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT).

My continued education and passion for learning ensure that I bring the most advanced, patient-focused, and biologically conscious techniques to our practice.

Personal Background & Interests

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, where my beloved wife, Shiva, and I began our life together before moving to Michigan to pursue my dental education and career. Today, we are blessed to be raising our three wonderful daughters here in the Midwest—a place we have come to love for its welcoming spirit, sense of community, and the beauty of its seasons.

My journey in dentistry has been shaped by a passion for service. From providing care to underserved populations through nonprofit work to building lasting relationships with families in our community, I see every patient interaction as an opportunity to give back and make a positive impact.

I am grateful every day for the opportunity to do what I love—and for the privilege of caring for each person who walks through our doors.
